Sabadell, Spain, February 2026Dodo Pizza, an international pizza chain, has entered the Spanish market with the opening of its first restaurant in Sabadell, near Barcelona. The brand operates as part of Dodo Brands, which is headquartered in Kazakhstan (AIFC) and reported revenue of over $1.8 billion in 2025, representing a year-on-year increase of 22%.

The company plans to open three to four restaurants by the end of 2026. During the first two years, development will focus on cities around Barcelona to build operational density and delivery coverage. From the third year onward, Dodo Pizza plans to open up to four restaurants annually in Barcelona, with a long-term objective to build a network of up to 50 restaurants in Catalonia by 2035.

The menu was adapted specifically for the Spanish market and includes 18 pizza varieties, 10 snacks, and two desserts, with seasonal products planned for future introduction. Several items were developed exclusively for Spain, including garlic cheese rolls and goat cheese pizza.

“Catalonia is a strategic starting point for us in Spain. We have signed an Area Development Agreement for the region and see strong potential to scale the brand here in a disciplined and sustainable way. At the same time, we are actively exploring opportunities to work with exclusive partners in other regions of Spain as part of our long-term market development strategy.,” said Ilya Kholodnov, Head of International Marketing and Sales at Dodo Brands.

“Our soft launch in December allowed us to perfect our operations, and the response from the Sabadell community during this weekend’s Grand Opening has been incredible. We’ve put our hearts into creating this first location — from the local mural to the operational tech — and it’s just the beginning of our ambitious journey across Spain,” added Alexander Kolosov, Dodo Pizza Area Developer in Spain.

Spain is the fifth-largest economy in Europe, with a population of 47 million. As of 2024, the country’s quick-service restaurant (QSR) market is valued at €5.86 billion, with Catalonia accounting for approximately 26% of total national foodservice sales. The region was selected as the starting point for Dodo Pizza’s Spanish operations due to its scale, urban density, and strong delivery culture.
