The team behind the coffee. Mexico begins with a restaurant in Zapopan and plans ten company-operated locations in Jalisco within one year.
Zapopan, Jalisco, October 2026 — International pizza chain Dodo Pizza has entered Mexico through a master franchise agreement with Helper Holding. The first restaurant is now serving customers in Zapopan, in the Guadalajara metropolitan area, with its official opening scheduled for 22 October.
Helper Holding plans to open ten Dodo Pizza restaurants in Jalisco during the first year before expanding through sub-franchising into other regions of the country. The long-term target is to build a network of 200 restaurants across Mexico by the end of 2035.
“Entering a new market is always about finding the right local partner and building a model that can scale. Mexico gives us an opportunity to combine Dodo’s operating and technology platform with Helper Holding’s local expertise and ambition to build a long-term business. Together, we have a strong foundation to develop Dodo Pizza across Mexico,” said Ilya Kholodnov, Head of International Marketing and Sales at Dodo Brands.
“We could have developed our own pizzeria, but we wanted to enter the market with a proven concept rather than build everything from scratch. When I visited Dodo Pizza restaurants in Dubai, I saw how the brand combines technology, an open kitchen and a strong focus on operations. I saw an opportunity to bring that model to Mexico and adapt it to local customers,” said Halim Simon, CEO of Dodo Pizza Mexico and the coffee. Mexico.

Proprietary technology at the core of the model
Dodo Pizza is part of Dodo Brands and operates with Dodo IS, a proprietary cloud-based platform developed in-house to connect restaurant operations and support franchise network management. This technology forms part of the operating model the company is bringing to Mexico.
A compact format and a locally adapted menu
Located at Avenida Mariano Otero 5123, Colonia La Calma, the first restaurant occupies approximately 55 square metres. It focuses on takeaway orders and includes a small seating area. The open kitchen allows customers to watch products being prepared, while self-service kiosks offer another way to order in the restaurant.
The menu combines classics such as pepperoni with recipes developed for the Mexican launch, including a pepperoni pizza with jalapeños and mango sauce, alongside products featuring chimichurri sauce. The product and operations teams developed the local offering together with the Mexican partner.
The launch in Zapopan marks the beginning of Dodo Pizza’s development in one of Latin America’s largest consumer markets.
